What’s Happening in Zimbali

Zimbali borders the very popular holiday destination Ballito, and is 20 minutes from Durban International Airport and a short 25km drive from Umhlanga Rocks.

Zimbali is home to a rich variety of local fauna and flora and several natural spring water lakes.

The animal life within Zimbali’s forests includes 85 species of bird, hosts of butterflies, a wide variety of indigenous plant life and a variety of mammals such as Bushbaby, Blue Duiker, Bush Buck, Vervet Monkey, Banded Mongoose and even Wild Pig.

Scattered pathways and wooden viewing decks throughout the reserve allow residents to subtly interact with nature.

The eastern side of the estate is an unspoilt 3 km stretch of pristine beaches – a natural golden boundary between the rich green forest and the warm blue Indian Ocean.
